Fort Worth Officers Rescue Kitten Stranded Along Loop 820

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Two Fort Worth Police officers are being praised Thursday after coming to the rescue of a six-week-old kitten stranded along a busy west side freeway.

It all happened about 10:30 last night along West Loop 820 at McCart Avenue.

According to police, two officers were working routine patrol when they were sent to the scene of an animal welfare call.

Leo Cordero tells CBS 11 News he’s the one called police after seeing the kitten jammed in a cement wall along the exit ramp from Loop 820 to McCart.
