Hyundai has announced that the Accent will get a complete overhaul in 2016. Therefore, the 2014 Accent does not veer too far away from the 2013 Accent. However there are notable changes that have been made to the styling and standard features of the 2014 Accent. But fans of the 2013 Accent will appreciate that Hyundai has not messed with a good thing.
The 2014 Hyundai Accent is proud to be the latest car to get integrated blind spot mirrors on all standard models. Other notable standard equipment updates includes one-touch triple turn signal and sliding sun visors. The standard audio system has been updated to improve voice recognition and button layout as well.
5-door SE and 4-door Premium Package models have upgrades that include driver’s auto-up power window, tilt-and-telescopic steering and new projector headlamps that combine LED accents with a welcome-light function. Also available in the 5-door SE for the drivers interested in a sportier driving experience is the B&M Racing Sport Shifter.
Not much has changed for the 2014 Hyundai Accent when it comes to the engine. The 2014 Accent is still powered by well-regarded 1.6-liter Gamma four-cylinder engine. The engine is able to produce 138 horsepower and 123 pound-feet of torque. The Accent gets an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and up to 38 mpg on the highway. It is a front wheel drive car that is available in either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic with eco-mode.
